You know, ther ewas some drama behind the movie. The production company promised a billing of 300 million baht for the movie- but in the end, they just paid around 117 million. From what the media says, Tony Jaa had to pay the rest of the money to keep the cast and crew working. All this stressed the guy that much that he flew from the set into the jungle, for a time out and meditation. Normally, I don't give too much about celebrities and their little life conflicts- but I really think that it's a shame that a talented and nice guy like Tony Jaa is starting to lose ground under his feet. When Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong became blockbusters in Thailand, and even were successful in the rest of the world, many lifted him up as the new Bruce Lee, while others started to discredit him before they had even seen ONE of his movies. I think the shy guy must've been rent into pieces when all this action around his persona started. I've seen one of the very first interviews with him, and in this one, he was so insecure, so shy, almost acting awkwardly around strangers. Only when showing his Martial Arts skills and his unbelievable pliant moves, he is in his element.

Well, when I was watching Ong Bak 2, I was a bit disappointed- at least in the beginning. I didn't understand that the story is settled about 1000 years ago in a time when history didn't evem seem to exist. The movie had NOTHING to do with Ong Bak 1.

But the more I watched the movie, the more I was fascinated by the strength of the pictures. The extreme and spectacular fighting scenes, the scenery, the impressions of the jungle. Those who have seen Apocalypto by Mel Gibson surely know what I'm talking about. And hell, Jaa fits into this surrounding so perfectly. Especially his new look with the long hair was refreshing new- and so incredible sexy! I LOVE long haired men! ^^

I didn't understand the sudden ending, though- until I did some research and found out that they're producing Ong Bak 3 at the moment. So this movie's going to be a sequel- aha!

It makes me sad to see that some people aren't even willing to give that pretty young guy a chance. I know, he probably made some istakes already. But that's life. I crossed the lines so many times in my life already, I mae tons of mistakes- but hell, that's life. I learned from my mistakes, and today i know how to make things better. So if you belong to those people judging someone for something, maybe you should look inside yourself first. Is it really the fact that this person was doing a mistake- or are you only jealous because this person had the guts to try something that you didn't dare to try? Tony Jaa made a big step when he decided to not only be a stuntman and break his bones for others. Now he has to learn how to take responsibility, he has to learn how to act in public. He made mistakes already, but I hope he will get the chance to show what he's really capable of. I like that sweet, sexy Thai guy.
